Advisory Council on Environmental Justice – 1st Meeting

December 18, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

On October 31, 2017, via executive Order 73 Governor McAuliffe established an Advisory Council on Environmental Justice. This council is a positive step in the direction of ensuring that all communities and perspectives have a voice at the table. The goal is to establish a consistent, action oriented approach to incorporating environmental justice in decision making.

On December 18th, the Governor’s Advisory Council on Environmental Justice will have its first meeting, and you are invited to attend! Showing up in numbers to the council’s first meeting will show community support for these types of initiatives. The meeting begins at 11 AM and we would like as many people present for the start as possible. Feel free to bring a friend! You do not need to stay for the entirety of the meeting.

Meeting attendance organized by Virginia Interfaith Power & Light and seven other organizations.
