CSI Training – Lovingston
August 30 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
CSI training for the general public, Thursday August 30, 2018, at the Nelson Center, 6-9 pm. As members of the Allegheny-Blue Ridge Alliance, Friends of Nelson and our sister groups are standing up to protect our region’s rights to clean water and the rule of environmental law. State and federal regulators are unwilling or unable to police these proposed unnecessary pipeline projects in earnest, so don’t miss your chance to come learn how to protect our region from harm by volunteering with the Pipeline Compliance Surveillance Initiative (CSI)!
Come and learn how to protect our region from harm with the Pipeline CSI!
EVERYONE is invited to join us and get educated on how to blow the whistle on ACP construction activity if construction indeed begins in Virginia.
We’ll be speaking with folks about the overview of the CSI and then diving in to specific presentations by Kirk Bowers and Malcolm Cameron, on erosion and sedimentation controls measures and water body crossing construction methods, respectively. You’ll walk away knowing what to look for and report on, if construction does reach us.
Friends of Nelson welcomes event listings from all related groups who are working to oppose the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. To have your event listed on our calendar, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
