Free Film Screening: Before the Flood

Wild Virginia is co-sponsoring a free screening of Before the Flood. The screening will include a panel discussion from local and national experts and a chance to meet local organizations taking action on this front. Come learn how you can get involved in the climate change fight!

Featuring filmmaker Fisher Stevens and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, Before the Flood is a new documentary that interviews scientists, politicians, and activists as it seeks to comprehend the state of the global climate change landscape. The film explores some of the current changes occurring around the world and ways that individuals can take action to mitigate these changes.

The screening will be followed by a panel Q & A featuring experts from NASA, the Union of Concerned Scientists, the Southern Environmental Law Center, and the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP). It will also be an opportunity to speak with many local organizations working towards climate solutions. This event will be a great occasion to learn new ways to take action, both collectively and as individuals.
