MVP & ACP Affected Landowner Appreciation Day

April 25, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Hosted by Virginia Pipeline Resisters
Wednesday, April 25 at 10 AM – 3 PM
Behind the Office of the Governor, 1111 E. Broad Street, Richmond, VA

The weekly event for Wednesday, April 25 in Richmond will be in support of the affected landowners and communities along the proposed paths of the Mountain Valley and Atlantic Coast Pipelines.

We will gather behind the Governor’s Office (behind 1111 E Broad St at Governor St) for breakfast and delivery of a gift to Northam, which requires a reportable monetary value. The gift will be valued at the $58 million (ACP) and $27.5 million (MVP) amounts of the Memorandums of Understanding that former Governor McAuliffe signed in secrecy and to allow a liability cap for the projects. The day’s events continue with a rally at the Capitol Grounds Belltower at 11am, followed by a picnic lunch on Brown’s Island.

We invite affected landowners to share their stories at the Capitol Grounds event as we unveil a visual display of the 125-foot scar the ACP and MVP would produce for over 1,000 miles across VA. All are invited to remind Northam to “listen to the science,” come out in support of our land and water, and DENY the Atlantic Coast and Mountain Valley Pipelines. Governor Northam and First Lady Northam will be invited to this event to hear directly from landowners.

*Landowners/community members that cannot attend – please feel free to send us a statement and we will read it during the event*

Please join us in support of the landowners who have been fighting these projects for over three years. For any able to attend, please RSVP “Going” for a lunch headcount.

10am-11am: Gather behind Office of Gov, deliver gift to Governor
11am-12pm: Rally at Belltower, Capitol Grounds
12:30pm-3pm: Picnic lunch provided on Brown’s Island (5th and Tredegar Streets)
