The purpose of the scoping meetings is to provide an opportunity for the public to verbally comment on the project modifications. You may attend at any time during the meeting, as the primary goal of a scoping meeting is for FERC to hear and document environmental concerns. There will not be a formal presentation by Commission staff; however, FERC will be available to answer questions about the FERC environmental review process. Representatives of the ACP will also be present to answer questions about the project. Verbal comments will be recorded by a court reporter and transcripts will be placed into the docket for the project and made available for public viewing on FERC’s eLibrary system.

You should submit comments to FERC (see here for instructions) AND attend meetings to comment verbally. You should provide a written copy of your comments – those of us who have attended previous scoping meeting know how inaccurately verbal comments at those meetings were recorded by the court recorders at the sessions!
