Walking the Line Celebration Concert

June 23, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

The Celebration Concert will welcome the walkers from “Walking the Line: Into the Heart of Virginia” to a family-style concert with Laurie Lichtenwalner, Boxcar Speakeasy, Rick Olivarez Trio and more. Rain or shine with tents and chairs for our audience with reservations. Food from The Saucy Bird and The Dirty Bean.

A family style, bluegrass country concert with Augusta county and celebrity artists that will also include audience participation and a little tiny bit of speechifying about the issues confronting Staunton’s water supply should the ACP be built.

From June 17-July 2, your neighbors will walk the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline route to sow new seeds, new energies and better solutions for our land and our children. The Celebration Concert will have a little bit of speechifying and a lot of information about the unique vulnerabilities of the Staunton water supply should the ACP be built.

We will film the second version of our “Sow Em on the Mountain” song video at the Celebration Concert. Check out our facebook page for information about participating in this creative event by creating your own verse for the song and letting us know you will come to the concert to sing it out.

Tickets are free, but donations to support the work and the musicians are welcome. Doors open 5:30 pm.
