Buckingham County Board of Supervisors Meeting
December 12, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
It is expected that the Buckingham County Planning Commission’s recommendation to the Buckingham County Board of Supervisors will be on the agenda at the December 12, 2016, Supervisors meeting.
If built, the compressor station would have significant impacts on Buckingham, which is known for its pristine environment and rural culture. The proposed site for this fracked gas propulsion station is in the middle of Union Hill, a historic, predominantly African American freedmen community. The compressor station would create a public safety hazard, dramatically increase noise and air pollution, lower property values, and emit tons of greenhouse gases into an already overburdened atmosphere.
Attend the meeting and let your presence help in the ongoing effort to prevent the Buckingham Board of Supervisors from approving the Atlantic Coast Pipeline compressor station. Buckingham residents need to know they have their neighbors’ support.
