Mask Making Workshop for Hands Across Our Land
August 15, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join Free Nelson for a mask making workshop in preparation for Hands Across Our Land. The workshop will teach you how to make masks of native animals that you can then wear to Hand Across Our Land to represent them in the protest against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline.
The workshop will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Monday, August 15, at Grace Episcopal Church, 1934 Crabtree Falls Highway, Massies Mill, to construct a basic mask. Painting and final touches can be done at home. (From Route 151, turn onto Route 56 heading toward Crabtree Falls. The church is about 1.5 miles down 56, on the right.)
What to bring:
Large cardboard box (or 2) for mask material
Box or tote to hold all your tools
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Marker
SHARP box cutter
Scissors
Pen or pencil
A picture of your animal
