Saturday, Feb. 28: Friends of Nelson Fundraising Community Dance and Silent Auction at Rockfish Valley Community Center, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The evening of No-Pipeline fun helped us raise money for our “Expert Fund” to strengthen our opposition to the pipeline in the FERC and legal process. It included a potpourri of square and round dances featuring live music and instructions by John Wheeler, Bev Seng, and Tom Hansen. Chili and other food, drinks, and sweets were available, plus a raffle and a silent auction. Many thanks to Jeanne and her team, to all who cooked, donated items for the auction, and to those who came to enjoy the evening! Festivities began with Gayla and Gene singing “No Dominion Over Me.”
